A total of 7 artists are involved in the drawing exhibition which takes place at K Sudana Gallery, Ubud, Bali. The seven artists who initiated this exhibition are I Made Wiradana, I Made Duatmika, I Made Romi Sukadana, Vincensius Dedy Reru, I Made A Palguna, I Kadek Dwi Armika, and Pande Wijaya Suta who brought more than two masterpieces to be exhibited. The drawing exhibition is held to commemorate the national education day which falls on May 2. Drawing exhibitions are closely related to the world of education. When a child is drawing, there is a process of cognitive development and the child's imagination. This is related to educational theory, children are learning with a visual learning style, which wants to visualize their imagination.

A little explanation about Jepun Artfriends as the organizer. Jepun Artfriends is an artist collective formed around a shared passion for fishing. When two passions collide, an extraordinary creation is born. Painting in nature, on ships, and on the beach are just a few of the activities pursued. The objective and mission of Jepun Artfriends is to strengthen artist relationships while also offering a relaxing environment after a long day in the studio. The notion of Jepun Artfriends is to paint together in the middle of nature. Life on Earth receives its energy from nature. By painting in nature, Jepun Artfriends attempt to communicate nature. Furthermore, the goal of Jepun Artfriends is to foster brotherhood and camaraderie among artists.

They try to make works with linear lines, pencil strokes, or regular dense charcoal nicks so that the impression of the drawing still appears. Even though there are several works that use new media to translate elements - the drawing element itself. Like the use of wire or iron as the embodiment of a line. It is a unique thing. Their experience, artistic character, and process are still put forward even in the drawing form. Scratches and lines become a momentary overflow of their emotions about something. They are no longer talking about drawing literally but have entered the complexity of the artist. Where precisely it raises the attraction and new questions emerge. Relevance and new possibilities for the development of the drawing itself. Of course, a challenge isn't it? The May declaration of the month of National Drawing by the Indonesian Drawing Forum (FDI) coincided with National Education Day which is on 2nd of May. However, since May 2nd this year coincides with Eid al-Fitr, the declaration event will be carried out simultaneously throughout Indonesia on May 14th for that reason. But for the future National Drawing Day is still commemorated on May 2 every year. Drawing will still find its fun, its uniqueness, and its abilities in a work. Where “tension” and “dialogue” are experienced by the art connoisseur and the artist.
